Behavior and Boundaries
A comic-based game that helps children explore how behavior impacts emotions through playful scenarios and role-play.

- 4x Square piece of cardboard
- Paper arrow (or plastic spinner from an old board game)
- Split pin (or pushpin) to attach the spinner
- Markers or printed images
- Colored markers or paper

Stap 1
Board 1: Character & color selector (spinner board)
Cut a square cardboard (approx. 30x30 cm works well).
Draw or paste 8 character images/names in a circle around the center:
- Ronaldo, Teacher, Neighbor, Stranger, Parent, Friend, Movie Star, Bully
In the middle, attach a rotating arrow using a split pin so it can spin freely.
On each outer side of the square, add a color gradient:
- Side 1: Dark Blue – Green
- Side 2: Brown – Yellow
- Side 3: Blue – Pink
- Side 4: Orange – Red

Stap 2
Board 2: Situation board
Prepare another square piece of cardboard.
Divide it into 2 columns with 4 rows to make 8 boxes.
In each box, draw or label one situation, each marked with a color from Board 1:
🔴 Red – Staring
🔵 Dark Blue – Ignoring
🔷 Blue – Taking a Photo
💗 Pink – Passing by and Touching
🟫 Brown – Giving a Present
🟧 Orange – Surrounding
🟨 Yellow – Hugging
🟩 Green – Following

Board 3: Girl's Emotion Board
On a cardboard square, draw or paste a girl figure without a face.
Draw a black text balloon near her head (for writing or discussing feelings).
Below or beside her, place 5 emoji faces:
😊 Happy | 😠 Angry | 😢 Crying | 😞 Sad | 😂 Laughing

Board 4: Character Emotion Board
Create a square board with space to draw or attach the character selected from Board 1.
Add a black speech balloon and text box next to the character.
Add the same 5 emoji options as on Board 3 to reflect the character’s emotions too.

Optional extras
- Laminate the boards for durability
- Use Velcro or magnets to attach/change characters and emojis
- Add dry-erase materials if you want reusable text balloons

Spin the character on the first board. The arrow points to a character (e.g. teacher, bully).
Spin again to define the colour (e.g. red).

Look for the situation with the matching color on the second board. Example: If the color is orange, the situation is “surrounding.”

Reflect on the girl’s emotions from board 3. Ask the players:
- “How does the girl feel in this situation?”
- “Does she like it? Why or why not?”
Let them choose one of the 5 emojis to match her emotion.
Write or discuss her thoughts in the speech balloon.

Reflect on the character’s emotions (board 4). Now think about the chosen character (e.g. Ronaldo, stranger, friend).
Ask:
- “How do you think the character feels?”
- “Why might they act that way?”
- Choose an emoji and fill in the speech balloon and text box.

You can spin again for a new round, or finish with a discussion:
- “What situations felt okay or not okay?”
- “What could someone do differently?”
- “Who can you talk to if something makes you feel bad?”

This game concept was developed by a team of Tomorrowland during a StreetwiZe leadership expedition in Kolkata, India.
