Todo lo que necesita para jugar este juego.

Una guía paso a paso para jugar el juego.

1

Put the BUSINESS A1a, A1b, A2a, A2b and A2c panels on the mobile school. Leave enough space to write on either side of the panel. Attach the magnetic communication panel (SOCIETY A2a) on a neighbouring blackboard.

2

Divide the players into two groups.

3

Each group indicates the 10 objects they want to buy, by drawing a specific symbol next to the items.

4

Then, each group thinks about which route they will take through the city in order to buy the indicated items. The goal is to find the most efficient route possible.

5

Start the game. Determine which player can go forward by means of the method of your choice (e.g. rock-paper-scissors, turn the dice/rotation disk, ballgame ...).

6

If a group wins a turn, they can move forward along one street of their route. With each shop/object they pass, they can check off that object from their shopping list.

7

The first group to check off everything from their shopping list and get back to the start, wins the game.

8

Discuss why the winner won. Suggested questions:

  • Why did the group take this route? Why was it the best/shortest/most efficient route?
  • Was it only luck that made the group win, or did they have another advantage?
9

Link the discussion about business and the importance of looking for the most efficient strategy to the following topics:

  • How to give your business an advantage
  • Operational costs
  • Needs/wants
  • Production lines for specific types of businesses: what's necessary to purchase, where to get it and how to sell it.

Variaciones

  • Start by putting a price on each object and give each player a fictitious budget to work with. Then, the players decide which items they can buy with the budget they have. Proceed with the game that is described above.
  • Organise an event: Give two groups a task or event to organise, e.g. organise a football match, a farewell party, an excursion... Allow the groups to brainstorm on how they would approach this task and let them list the tasks in order of priority and timing. Ask them to make a shopping list and play the game described above.
