Copiii sunt așezați într-un cerc.

Conducătorul jocului spune numele unui copil, apoi îi aruncă mingea.

Copilul căruia i-a fost aruncată mingea, o dă mai departe altui copil, spunându-i numele. Jocul continuă în acest mod până când unul dintre participanți greșește: fie folosește porecle, fie nu prinde mingea.

La o greșeală, toți participanții se mișcă un pas la dreapta, preluând numele copilului care a fost acolo înaintea sa. Jocul continuă cu numele schimbate.
