Copiii stau in cerc, avand ca sarcina crearea unei povesti de grup.

Primul copil incepe povestea cu "a fost odata".

Urmand ca la un semnal convenit (de obicei elementele de legatura: "cand de odata", "iar apoi", "si atunci"), povestea sa fie continuata de urmatorul copil, iar apoi pe rand, de toti copiii din grup.
Variations
Se pot introduce cuvinte cheie obligatorii pe care copiii trebuie sa le foloseasca in poveste.
Sau se poate porni de la povesti clasice, urmand ca participantii sa creeze finaluri alternative.
