A step-by-step guide to play the game

1

Gather a group of players in front of the festival poster. Take the time to explore the poster together. Do they know what a music festival is? Ask the players to find specific situations on the poster, such as a DJ, people dancing, people singing, a musical instrument, people having fun, etc.

2

Ask each player to indicate a number of situations that

  1. they like.
  2. they find funny.
  3. they think is sad or scary.
  4. they already experienced/ they would like to experience.

Have the players write down their choices using the numbers indicated on the poster. Let them explain why they chose each situation.

3

Now it’s time to dance! Look together for a DJ and scan the accompanying QR-code. Listen to the DJ’s music and start your own festival by dancing and singing around.

Extra game information

The festival poster is all about sound and music, featuring 12 different Tomorrowland DJs with corresponding QR codes. These DJs include Afrojack, Amber Broos, Andromedik, Armin Van Buuren, GORDO, Henri PFR, Kölsch, Lost Frequencies, MATTN, NERVO, Netsky and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano.

The poster showcases 70 different situations reflecting the values of LiveLove and Unite, each indicated with a number. These numbers can facilitate a discussion or games with the poster.

The Tomorrowland Festival poster is part of the Live Love Unite toolkit, developed collaboratively by the Tomorrowland Foundation and StreetSmart in 2024 and can be combined with the Live Love Unite Game Board (MUSIC B2). This partnership aimed to create an educational toolkit to help vulnerable children explore music, festivals, and DJs through engaging and accessible learning materials.

Variations

Instead of discussing the chosen situation immediately, one player can draw or mimic a situation from the poster, while others guess which situation it is.

Use specific situations on the poster to initiate games or activities. Suggested activities:

  • Flags: Do the players recognise any flags? Encourage them to identify as many flags as possible.
  • Make-up, tattoos, hair: Collaborate to create a festival-inspired look.
  • Food: Discuss different food items found at the festival or create a small snack together. What are healthy options? What food do they like?
  • Stages: Which stage do they like? If they should invent a new stage, what would it look like? Draw it on the blackboard or on paper.
