Everything you need to play this game

  • Scissor
  • Cardboard
  • Ruler
  • Pencils in different colours
  • Screws

Make it yourself

Step 1

Take a large piece cardboard
  • Make square cuts in the large cardboard. Use a ruler to measure everything out.
  • F.ex.: 4 vertical and 4 horizontal
  • The cuts function as a maze.

Step 2

Now take a second piece of cardboard
  • Cut the cardboard in a square, a little bit bigger than the outside margin of your maze.
  • Draw images about recycling (f.ex. see image).
  • Around the large drawing, make a green coloured circle.

Step 3

Cut the second piece of cardboard
  • Cut the cardboard with the drawing in smaller squares (4x4 in case your maze is that size).
  • Leave one piece without a drawing on it, out.

Step 4

Attach screws
  • Now take screws and put them through each small square of your jigsaw.
  • Attach a bit of tape to make sure it sticks to the pieces.

Step 5

Attach the squares to your maze
  • Now put all the pieces of your jigsaw in your maze, except for one. This way you can scramble the pieces and move them through the square.

Create the puzzle on the carton board. You can do this individually or by taking turns.

When the puzzle is made correctly, you will see a green circle.

Now you can discuss on the topic of recycling.

  • What is is the importance of recycling?
  • What do you see?
  • Why does this happen?
  • Do you recycle and how do you do this?

Extra game information

The background of the panel exists of a large carton board with some cuts, functioning as a maze. On top of this carton board, you have square pieces of carton with different images about recycling.

  • F.ex.: buying a water bottle, throwing the bottle in a bin,...


All those pieces slide through the cuts in the background. If you put the pieces in the correct place, a green circle forms around the panel.
