Good job!

A step-by-step guide to play the game

1

Divide players into teams.

2

On each turn:

  • One player spins the challenge wheel.
  • The team receives a challenge from that category.
3

The team chooses a difficulty level:

  • Level 1 = easy reward
  • Level 2 = medium reward
  • Level 3 = bigger reward
4

Complete the challenge together (or one player performs it).

5

If successful:

  • The team earns building pieces (e.g., squares, rhomboids).
  • The higher the level → the more pieces earned.
6

Place the earned pieces onto the house board.

7

Teams take turns completing challenges.

8

The game ends when:

  • A team completes their house, OR
  • A set time is reached → the team with the most completed house wins.

Extra game information

This game concept was developed during a StreetwiZe leadership expedition with Sanoma in a refugee center in Lanaken, Belgium.

Variations

  • Cooperative mode: All players build one shared house together.
  • Skill swap challenge: Players must choose a challenge outside their comfort zone.
  • Time pressure: Teams have limited time (e.g., 1 minute) to complete challenges.
  • Steal or trade: Teams can trade or win pieces from other teams (adds strategy).
  • Hidden roles: Each player secretly has a “strength” they should try to use.
  • Story building version: Each new piece added must be explained as part of a story about the house.
