Chairs (1 fewer chair than the number of players)

Una guía paso a paso para jugar el juego.

All players sit on a chair in a circle, apart from one player, who is standing up.

The player standing up starts the phrase "My ideal partner" and completes it with a quality of his/her ideal partner, e.g.: "My ideal partner can make me laugh when I'm sad."

All players who agree need to leave their seat and find another chair to sit on as quickly as possible. The player that was standing up also tries to find a seat.

The player left without a seat will now be the one to come up with a new statement, starting with "My ideal partner..." and the game continues.

This activity is a part of the StreetSmart sexuality package. The package aims to give youth workers the tools they need to address the topic of sexuality in a playful way with the children and young people they work with, so they can learn to make conscious, healthy and respectful decisions. Variaciones

Ad (game created by Sensoa):

All players write a personal ad asking to meet the ideal boy/girl with whom they want to live together later. They specify which characteristics, character traits, looks,... their ideal partner should have. When all players have written their ad, put them on a wall or ask them to read them out loud for the others.

Then:

Reflect on the activity by asking questions such as: Which characteristics are (not) popular? How important is physical appearance? What does 'being attractive' mainly have to do with? etc.
OR: Write down all characteristics included in the different ads on a blackboard. Ask the players to make an individual ranking from most important to least important and compare their rankings. Discuss why the rankings look different. You can also ask the players to try and draw up a general ranking, by discussing, phrasing arguments and reaching a consensus as a group.
