Un guide étape par étape pour jouer le jeu

The players sit in a circle, on a chair if possible.

The game leader will say a statement related to sexuality, e.g.:

I've already said "I love you" without meaning it.
I think Valentine's Day is important.
I'm a real man.
I've dated someone I met online before.
I know all my online friends in person.
Homosexuality is socially accepted.
I've already lied at least once during this exercise.
...

If the players' answer to the question is "yes", they have to move one chair to the left. If their answer to the question is "no", they remain seated. This means that a player might end up sitting on another player's lap or that, in time, small "pyramids" are formed of people sitting on each other.

If a player needs to move and someone is sitting on his/her lap, he/she can just ask if he/she can get out.

When one of the players is in his/her original seat again, the game ends.

This activity is a part of the StreetSmart sexuality package. The package aims to give youth workers the tools they need to address the topic of sexuality in a playful way with the children and young people they work with, so they can learn to make conscious, healthy and respectful decisions. Variations

Topic: You can easily vary this game by changing the statements. If you use the exercise as an opening exercise to talk about sexuality in general, it is recommended to include statements about various aspects of sexuality: gender, relationships & sexual orientation, safe sex, sex & media,... If you are addressing one aspect of sexuality more specifically, you just adapt the statements accordingly. You can use this methodology to introduce any topic of your choosing.
Age: By adapting the statements, you can make sure the game is suitable for players of all ages.
Safety: If you know (some of) the players would feel uncomfortable sitting on each other's lap, you can ask them to go and stand behind a chair if someone's already sitting on it.
Players' choice: Ask the players to come up with their own statements in turn. Players that give a statement also need to answer and move accordingly.
